રાજય પરીક્ષા બોર્ડ, ગાંધીનગર દ્રારા નેશનલ મીન્સ કમ મેરીટ સ્કોલરશીપ(એન.એમ.એમ.એસ) ની પરીક્ષા તા. ૨૧-૧૧-૨૦૧૦ રવિવારના રોજ જિલ્લા મથકે લેવાનાર છે.  |

| નેશનલ મીન્સ કમ મેરીટ સ્કોલરશીપ(એન.એમ.એમ.એસ) ની પરીક્ષા -૨૦૧૦ માટેના ફોર્મ સ્વીકારવાની છેલ્લી તારીખ ૫-૯-૨૦૧૦ હતી તેમાં સુધારો કરી હવે ફોર્મ સ્વીકારવાની છેલ્લી તારીખ ૩૦-૧૦-૨૦૧૦ રાખવામાં આવે છે. |

| To decrease the drop out rate of the bright students having economically weak condition in the secondary and higher secondary schools and with the purpose that these students can complete the study up to standard-12, a scheme namely National Means cum Merit Scholarship has been introduced in the year 2008-09. The important aspects of this scheme are as under. This scheme will be applicable to institutes granted by the Sthanik Swarajya Sanstha. |

| . | Eligibility of the Candidate : |

| The candidate studying in standard-9 in the year 2008-09 in the schools operated by the institutes granted by any Sthanik Swarajya Sanstha can appear for the N.M.M.S. examination. Only those candidate who has scored minimum 55% in standard-8 and the candidate from Schedule Cast and Schedule Tribe has scored minimum 50% and the annual income of their guardian is not more than Rs.1,50,000/- can only appear in this examination. |

| . | Format of the Question Paper and Marks : |

| There will be M.A.T. and S.A.T. two types of tests in the N.M.M.S. examination. Each test is of 90 minutes and of 90 marks which is as under. |
| | . | General Mental Ability Test (M.A.T.) – Total Marks : 90 – Time : 1 hour 30 minutes |

| . | Scholastic Aptitude Test (S.A.T.) – Total Marks : 90 – Time : 1 hour 30 minutes Objective questions are asked on the following subjects in the Scholastic Aptitude Test.
1. Science (Basic Science) – 35 Marks
2. Mathematics – 20 Marks
3. Sociology – 35 Marks

| The candidate has to collect the application form from the office of the District Education Officer and with the stamp and sign of the principal of his own school on the filled application form is to be sent to the State Examination Board thru’ District Education Officer. |
|
|
|
| The medium of the examination is English and Gujarati and questions are of multiple option type. |
|
|
|
| Examination fee is Rs.70/- for Standard-9 general category and Rs.50/- for S.C. / S.T. The school has to collect total amount of the examination fees and to deposit the demand draft drawn on The Secretary, State Examination Board, Gandhinagar. |
