Gujarat Institute of Educational Technology has been established in 1984 under INSAT project of MHRD, New Delhi is 100% centrally sponsored scheme. Institute has been registered as Autonomous Institute under Societies Registration Act, 1860. The main function of the institute is to produce educational audio – video programs for the target age group children of 6 to 14 years. Programs produced by the institute are telecast on Door Darshan from 10.00 to 10.30 a.m. from Monday to Friday.

Information is given of applications under RTI Act asking for any type of information related to activities of the institute within time prescribed under the act. Disposal of other applications not related to the activities of the institute is also made as per the provisions of the act. Till date institute has received total 38 applications and reply of all those applications has been given within the time prescribed under the Act.
