4.1.2 Examinations conducted by the central Board of Secondary Educations: Examinations of the streams as shown in the Rule 4.1.1 above which are conducted through all the central schools / higher secondary schools in the state of Gujarat under the central board of secondary education, New Delhi.
4.1.3 Examinations conducted by the council of the Indian school certificate examination: Examinations of the streams of Std. XII (HSCCE) as shown in the rule 4.1.1 above which are conducted through the schools in the state of Gujarat under the council of the Indian school certificate examination, New Delhi.
4.2 Provision for the candidate passed in the supplementary examination of the board: After beginning of centralized admission system by the admission committee, the candidates who have passed the supplementary examination by the higher secondary board shall not be eligible for the admission in the relevant academic year but such candidate may apply in the subsequent year.
4.3 Passed in supplementary examination by the Board: The candidate who passed in supplementary examination healed by Gujarat secondary and higher secondary education board after the starting of central admission process by the admission committee, shall not be considered eligible for the respective year. He/she may apply for admission for next year.

4.4 Maximum Age Limit: For getting admission, the age of the candidate shall not exceed than 24 years at the beginning of the academic year i.e. on the 1st day of the July month of the relevant year.
4.5 Relaxation in the maximum age limit: The age limit specified in the Rule 4.4 shall be related up to 5 years in the cases of SC/ST/SEBC candidates.
4.6.1 Medium of admission: The candidate shall be entitled to get the admission in the medium only through which he has passed his SSC and HSC Examination.
4.6.2 The candidates desirous to avail admission in the Urdu medium must have completed his study from Std. I to VII if he has not studied up to Std. XII through English Medium. In addition to that, the candidate must have attained at least 45% in the higher level of the Urdu subject in standard X and XII.
4.6.3 Admission on the seats of science stream through Marathi Medium: The candidates desirous to obtain admission on seats of Marathi medium who have completed there Std. X and XII through Gujarati Medium must have completed their study up to standard Xth through Marathi Medium as there is no Higher Secondary School in the science stream through Marathi Medium.
